From Material Science to Real-World Proof: Original MOFA Expands Its Clinical Validation Ecosystem

In healthcare, trust isn’t built on claims—it’s built on what still works after reality gets involved: repeated laundering, long shifts, constant contact, and demanding environments.

That’s exactly where an ingredient brand matters.

Original MOFA exists to make functional performance a material property—engineered into textiles, sustained over time, and supported by verification that professionals can rely on. We don’t start with marketing messages; we start with materials, methods, and measurable outcomes.

A clinical partnership to strengthen verification and adoption

On February 10, 2026, Original MOFA’s healthcare solution brand, MOFA CARE, signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding in Beijing with a leading professional group in China’s clinical laboratory medicine community—the Bethune Spirit Research Association, Clinical Laboratory Medicine Division.

This collaboration brings clinical expertise into our broader ecosystem—supporting more consistent evaluation, real-world validation, and responsible adoption of durable antibacterial and antiviral functional textiles across healthcare and care settings.

The signing was witnessed by Professor Dong Shukui and senior representatives from the Division, alongside the MOFA CARE project team.

What Original MOFA brings: a platform approach

Original MOFA is building an ingredient-brand model for functional textiles—similar in principle to how trusted ingredient brands have shaped performance standards in other industries. Our role is to provide:

•      Materials platform capability: functional performance designed at the textile/material level

•      Validation discipline: performance assessed through repeatable methods and clear evidence

•      Partner ecosystem enablement: supporting brands, manufacturers, and institutions that bring solutions into real use

MOFA CARE sits at the solution layer of this ecosystem—translating material capability into professional products and application pathways for healthcare, eldercare, and wellness contexts.

Why this matters: making performance measurable and visible

In high-responsibility settings, what matters isn’t only initial performance, but whether it remains stable after repeated use.

This partnership will help strengthen the bridge between material science and real-world confidence by focusing on four practical questions:

•      Does performance hold beyond day one?

•      Does it remain durable through repeated laundering and long-term wear?

•      Can results be reproduced and independently assessed?

•      Is it safe and compliant in real environments?

What we will focus on together

•      More consistent evaluation of key indicators

Working with clinical laboratory medicine experts, support clearer, more consistent approaches to assessing critical indicators—so that performance can be expressed as repeatable evidence, not isolated results.

•      Real-world pilots that generate usable learnings

Pilot applications in high-contact and infection-prevention-relevant contexts. The goal is practical: gather feedback from use, refine product-material-process alignment, and build replicable application models.

•      A wider care ecosystem: healthcare, eldercare, and beyond

Durable protection matters beyond hospitals. This collaboration will also explore applications across long-term care and broader health settings—supporting more reliable protection where daily contact is constant.

Our commitment: build materials people can rely on

Original MOFA is committed to ingredient-brand principles: highly efficient, long lasting, safe. We believe functional textiles should earn trust through the same standard as any critical material—designed properly, tested clearly, and proven in real use.

Manufacturing and scale-up support for this collaboration is provided by Original MOFA’s technology and production partners, with MOFA CARE leading solution development and application roll-out.
